Travis Kelce has shown that his generosity knows no bounds. Days after the shooting at the Chiefs’ victory parade in Las Vegas, Travis Kelce has donated a staggering $100,000 to the family whose two young daughters were shot during the accident. The NFL star executed the donation through his Eighty-Seven and Running Foundation

The Reyes family had set up a GoFundMe page to aid in the recovery of their two daughters, aged 8 and 10. Both their daughters have sustained leg injuries during the tragic incident. Kelce made two generous donations of $50,000 each, amplifying the family’s efforts to cope with the physical and mental aftermath of the ordeal.

The girls were celebrating with many members of their family when they were senselessly injured,” the Reyes family shared on their GoFundMe page. “This fund will help provide vital financial support for their physical and mental recovery, any leftover funds will be saved for their college funds. All fund[s] are being deposited into a bank account established just for the girls. Any amount is appreciated.”

With the fund nearing $200,000 at the time of reporting, the outpouring of support from the community resulted in a fortune that’s almost double the family’s initial $100,000 goal. Kelce’s kind act followed a similar gesture from his girlfriend Taylor Swift, who also donated $100,000 to the GoFundMe page for the Lopez-Galvan family, another family affected by the firing.

According to reports, the Reyes daughters are making good progress in their recovery. Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and his wife Brittany also paid the two adorable Chiefs’ fans a visit in the hospital. The sisters will be in casts for several months after undergoing surgery, as informed by the doctors.

The officials investigating the case have arrested 3 suspects for the crime, while further probe into the matter is underway. The shooting has also sparked conversations about gun laws in the country, as the number of mass shootings in the US has seen a significant rise in the past few years.
