Timothee Chalamet has frequently spoken about Kid Cudi and his friendship, even going so far as to say that he owes his acting career to the rapper. The duo have frequently hung out together, often seen on each other’s social media accounts, and remained solid friends.
In recent reports, however, there have been rumors of their friendship getting tested and that they maybe aren’t on as good terms as they used to be. Here’s the clarification on their friendship and how the duo has responded to feud rumors.
Kid Cudi And Timothee Chalamet’s Friendship
It all started way back when Kid Cudi referred to Chalamet as his favorite artist and he was absolutely freaking out. In a tweet, he wrote, “UHMM OKAY STRIKE ME THE FUCK DOWN.”

In another interview for GQ magazine, Timothee spoke about how he had gotten advice from Kid Cudi.
“At a critical juncture when the walls were closing in, Timothée spent a couple hours with one of his personal gods, Kid Cudi. Backstage at a show in Montreal, Cudi described his own lows and the single-minded determination that forced him to double down on his efforts to perform his way out of trouble. Timothée excused himself to run home so he could write down everything he’d heard. He keeps the notes on his phone. The takeaway was: Are you, Timothée, the sort of person who can’t possibly live any other way? ‘Fuck yeah.’”
In another interview, Chalamet said “Cudi really inspired me to be an artist in a lot of ways.” To which Kudi responded “He kinda expressed to me some of his concerns about acting, and I just tried to be big bro for him,”
Since then, they were often seen hanging out together, posting pictures of one another.

But all of them seemed to come to an end after their feud.
