The Reign of Queen Elizabeth II came to an end as she died peacefully at Balmoral on September 8, 2022, at the age of 96. It was announced at the official site of the royal family. ‘The Crown‘ is Netflix’s one of the most expensive (upwards of $100 million!) and one of the highest-rated series about the reign of British royals. It was released on November 4, 2016. The series soon became a hit on Netflix.
The story starts at Elizabeth’s wedding to Philip (played by Matt Smith) in 1947. According to Netflix, there’s definitely enough material for several more seasons—though the current plan is for six. Reportedly, each season will last approximately a decade. In seasons one and two, Claire Foy portrayed Queen Elizabeth from 1947 to 1964. For the third and fourth seasons, taking place from 1964 to 1990, the Queen was portrayed by Olivia Colman. How does it feel like to have a six-season show made on your life? Well I guess, you have to be a Royal family member to know that.

He added, “It has been a longstanding arrangement that they drive to Windsor at the weekend to join the Queen for an informal supper while watching TV or a film.
