Don Newkirk was an American musician, composer and record producer. He was known to produce music mainly in the hip-hop genre. He was most known for being a part of the remix album of ‘Say No Go’ by De La Soul. Newkirk released his first solo album in 1989 called ‘Funk City.’
However, it is with deep condolences to say that the 56-year-old rapper has died recently. The news was confirmed on November 25. Newkirk was also a part of the rap group called 3rd Bass, serving as its announcer on ‘The Gas Force’.

On November 25, the tragic news of Don Newkirk’s death was given by Rahiem of Furious Five. The news was announced via his Facebook with the caption, “It is with a heavy heart that I announce the transitioning of my brother Don Newkirk.” He also further wrote, “My condolences go out to his family. S.I.P. bro.”
However, the reason for his death is still unknown. Don Newkirk’s cause of death still hasn’t been revealed yet and is a mystery to all. As told by Raheim, he had got the news from a close friend of theirs, who was called up by Newkirk’s daughter. We will update the cause of his death, as soon as it is revealed.

As mentioned in Vibe, Newkirk was also known to have served as an announcer on ‘The Gas Face’ for the rap group ‘3rd Bass.’
