While promoting her new book ‘Worthy‘, Jada Pinkett Smith broke the news of her separation from Will Smith. Jada confessed that they simply grew out of the relationship and are still trying to figure out a few things between them.

After the famous July 2020 ‘Red Table Talk’ episode with Jada Pinkett Smith and Will Smith, the word entanglement got attached to Jada. During the interview, ‘The Girls Trip’ actress revealed that she had been in a relationship with the singer August Alsina, while she was separated from Smith. However, during her recent interview with TODAY, Jada cleared that it was never an affair but an entanglement.
The couple had been separated since 2016 but tried to keep it under wraps. Will Smith claimed that he knew about Jada’s relationship with August Alsina. Jada spoke about her relationship with Alsina, saying, “It had been so long since I felt good and it was really a joy to help heal somebody.”

In June 2020, August Alsina went on The Breakfast Club and confessed his relationship with Jada Smith and also that her husband Will Smith approved of the affair. The singer said, “I actually sat down with Will and had a conversation due to the transformation from their marriage to life partnership that they’ve spoken on several times. He gave me his blessing.”
Jada Pinkett Smith and August Alsina met through Will Smith’s son, Jaden Smith. Alsina also spoke about his relationship with Pinkett Smith fondly. He said, “I totally gave myself to that relationship for years of my life, and I truly and really, really deeply love and have a ton of love for her. I devoted myself to it, I gave my full self to it — so much so to the point that I can die right now and be OK with knowing that I truly gave myself to somebody.” August Alsina also touched upon their breakup as well.
