How Cruise Became a Scientologist
‘The Risky Business‘ teen hero knew about the religion Scientology, through the actress Mimi Rogers. They dated for a while and got married later on. The actress’s father was a friend of Scientology’s founder, L. Ron Hubbard, and had helped build the church during the early years. Mimi was born into the religion and grew up with its practices. But she later left the faith.
Though Cruise was reluctant to the faith initially later on he got in place in the Church. Hubbard, it was told, had tried to recruit many celebrities into his religion.
