Cameron Diaz and Benji Madden tied the knot at the ‘Annie‘ star’s home in Beverly Hills in early January 2015. Diaz has dated many famous celebrities including Justin Timberlake and Alex Rodriguez. But in the end, she found a person who changed her thoughts regarding marriage. “[Marriage] was the biggest thing I’ve done in my 40s, and it opened me up in different ways,” Diaz told Harper’s Bazaar in 2016. “It’s pretty awesome. I didn’t think it was something I’d do, and I don’t know if I’d have done it if I hadn’t met my husband. It was a surprise.”

Who Is Benji Madden?
Benji Madden is a well-known American guitarist and singer. He was born ‘Benjamin Levi Combs’ on March 11, 1979, in Waldorf, Maryland, to Robin Madden and Roger Combs. He released his award-winning debut album titled ‘Good Charlotte’ with his twin brother Joel when they formed a band with Paul Thomas and Billy Martin. You will be surprised to know that Benji is not from a celebrity home.
He comes from a middle-class family of three brothers and a sister who were brought up by their mother after their father left the family. Benji has appeared as a guest artist with various bands and a judge as well as a coach on the popular TV show ‘The Voice Australia’. How Did Diaz And Madden Meet?
Cameron met her husband for the first time through his twin brother, Joel Madden, and his wife, Nicole Richie. “I met mine through my now sister-in-law and brother-in-law. I met them first and then they didn’t set us up but we were in the same room because of them, and then we found each other,” she explained.
Diaz said her initial reaction was, “How come I didn’t see him before?” In response, her business partner and fellow guest on the podcast quipped, “which is funny because you saw his twin brother.” Diaz said about the Madden brothers – “They’re not the same, they’re so different. Even though they’re twins, they’re very, very different obviously.“
She described her first meeting with Benji where he looked ‘really hot’: “I saw him walking towards me and I was like, ‘Huh, he’s hot, I haven’t seen him before.’ But then when I saw him, like who he was, that’s what made me really be like, ‘Oh you, you’re special, you’re the guy, you’re the hidden gem in my life.'” Diaz added that Benji supports her ambitions equally. “I never experienced that before. I’d never been loved in that way. Where he and Joel came from and what they’ve accomplished in their lives … just the drive, for the purest reasons. They push themselves. I look at him every day and he inspires me. He works so hard. I feel so lucky,” she said.
