Who Wrote The Novel Percy Jackson?
‘Percy Jackson’ is a pentalogy of fantasy novels written by Rick Riordan that focuses on the titular character. Riordan first came up with the idea for the series as bedtime stories about ancient Greek heroes for his son Haley. His son had been diagnosed with ADHD and dyslexia which inspired the author to make the titular character hyperactive and dyslexic.
The five novels of the ‘Percy Jackson‘ series are set in a world with the Greek gods in the 21st century. The five novels are: ‘The Lightning Thief’, ‘The Sea of Monsters’, ‘The Titan’s Curse’, ‘The Battle of the Labyrinth’ and ‘The Last Olympian’. All the books were published in the United States by Penguin Books. Five supplementary books, along with the graphic novel versions of each book, have also been released. Around the world, the books have sold more than 180 million copies, making them the best-selling book series of all time.

What Is The Disney Series About?
The protagonist of the series is a young demigod. Percy discovers that he is the modern-day son of the Greek god Poseidon and the mortal woman Sally Jackson. He must prevent the Titans who are led by Kronos, from destroying the world. After discovering his powerful background, he navigates a world of magic and action among fellow “half-blood” children, Annabeth (daughter of goddess Athena) and Grover (a mythical Satyr).
The novels have already been adapted into a film, however, the author claimed that the film did not depict his books accurately.
