Brad Pitt Filmography
Pitt had jobs as a limo driver, a furniture mover, and an El Pollo Loco mascot in his early days in Hollywood. Pitt’s major break came in the 1991 film ‘Thelma and Louise’ in a small but memorable role as the charming hitchhiker and one-night stand to Geena Davis’ character. After appearing in a couple more movies after ‘Thelma and Louise,’ Pitt was cast in Robert Redford’s 1992 movie ‘A River Runs Through It’ as a fly-fisher who gambles. Pitt would get respect for his dramatic acting abilities in Hollywood as a result. In 1994, he landed the coveted lead part in ‘Interview With the Vampire’ alongside one of Hollywood’s top actors, Tom Cruise, and a young Kirsten Dunst. People magazine named Brad the “Sexiest Man Alive” in 1995.
Pitt, who is a recognized member of Hollywood’s A-List, followed up ‘Interview With The Vampire’ with ‘Legends of the Fall’ from 1994 and the David Fincher thriller ‘Seven.’ However, it was ‘Twelve Monkeys,’ a 1995 Terry Gilliam psychological thriller, that would give Pitt his first Oscar nomination and first Golden Globe victory. ‘Seven Years in Tibet,’ Pitt’s most ambitious film to date, was shot in Argentina which got him banned in China. Between 1998 and 2001, Pitt starred in a number of high-profile movies, including ‘Fight Club’ by David Fincher, ‘Snatch’ by Guy Ritchie, ‘The Mexican’ with Julia Roberts, ‘Meet Joe Black,’ and ‘Ocean’s Eleven’ by Steven Soderbergh, which also starred George Clooney and Matt Damon.

All About Brad Pitt’s Favorite Movie
‘The Assassination of Jesse James By the Coward Robert Ford’ is Brad Pitt’s favorite movie even though it was his worst performing film. Collider explained how ‘Jesse James’ is “far and away, Pitt’s best performance.” They said, “It’s Pitt’s cold gravitas that carries the movie, which deserves to be regarded in the same stratosphere as Paul Thomas Anderson’s masterpiece ‘There Will Be Blood.’” Just $15 million was made worldwide for the film, which meant that only around half of its expenditure was recovered. But Brad prefers it because he at once felt like he was accomplishing something truly worthwhile. Talking about the film and his performance he said, “To me, it’s a statement on celebrity and wanting to make a name for yourself without any substance under that. It’s a beautiful film. It really is.”
Brad’s preference for this movie over his countless other hits created a perplexing mystery that only he could solve. In a 2017 interview, he told GQ, “I can turn out the hits over and over, and I just, my favorite movie is the worst-performing film of anything I’ve done, The Assassination of Jesse James. If I believe something is worthy, then I know it will be worthy in time to come.” In the same interview Brad also opened up about his split from Angelina Jolie and quitting drinking. Brad is known for his erratic and chaotic nature and this revelation about his favorite film definitely adds to that persona.
