Who Got The Custody?
Britney Spears lost custody of her children in 2008 because she failed to produce a California driver’s license. She also missed a drug and alcohol test, her lawyer said in a published report. “We weren’t able to prove compliance with what the judge ordered,” told attorney Sorrell Trope.
Until further order from the court, Superior Court Commissioner Scott M. Gordon ordered Spears to relinquish custody of her sons to Federline. During the trial, her sons Sean Preston and Jayden James were of the ages 2 and 1 respectively.

Why Was Spears Asked To Take A Driver’s License?
After dumping her marital status and becoming single, she has shown erratic and out-of-control behaviours in public. Spears shaved her head as paparazzi looked on, beat a car with an umbrella, and ended up spending a month in rehab.
She was also then charged with misdemeanour counts of hit-and-run and driving without a valid license for allegedly crashing into a parked car in August. “She was driving without a license with a child in the car,” said New York divorce lawyer Raoul Felder.
“You can put aside the in and out of rehab, the shaving her head. But this? When a judge went out on a limb for her? There’s no going back,” told Felder. Though Spears relinquished her custody to Federline until further notice, she still shares legal custody with her ex-husband.
