Ricky Martin Sues His Nephew For $20 Million
Ricky Martin has been facing allegations of having an incestuous relationship with his 21-year-old nephew. But his lawyers have categorically denied these allegations.
Now according to a report from TMZ, the Grammy Award winner has filed a $20 million lawsuit against his nephew Dennis Yadiel Sanchez, who accused him of sexual abuse.
According to docs obtained by NYP, the singer filed the suit on Wednesday in San Juan, Puerto Rico. He claimed that Sanchez started sending him messages on Instagram, threatening to “assassinate his reputation and integrity” if he didn’t give cash.
This was just a month after Sanchez withdrew the restraining order. In his suit, Martin has called him a “maladjusted individual” who bragged about being his nephew. He would receive messages 10 times a day for a four-month period from Sanchez. The Vuelve singer said that he lost several business opportunities because of the abuse allegations.

Ricky Martin Speaks Out On Incest Allegations
Dennis Sanchez is the son of Ricky’s half-sister Vanessa Martin. He had earlier alleged that he and his uncle were in a relationship for seven-month. Dennis also alleged that Ricky stalked him at his house after they broke up.
The ‘Livin’ La Vida Loca’ singer’s lawyer issued a statement that Martin never had “any kind of sexual or romantic relationship with his nephew.”
In July, the singer issued a clarification via a video where he said: “For two weeks, I was not allowed to defend myself because I was following procedure, where the law … obligated me not to talk until I was in front of the judge.”
In the same video, Martin expressed his relief that the case has been dismissed. “Thank God these claims were proven to be false, but I’m going to tell you the truth, it has been so painful and devastating for me, for my family for my friends,” he said.
