The American singer John Mayer has undergone a tremendous change- from drinking to dating he is changing many of his habits. The guitarist became part of the first-ever holiday special of the ‘Call Her Daddy’ podcast on December 21, 2022. He mainly talked about the secrets behind his music and how he doesn’t “date that much” these days.
The songwriter talked about how he started his sobriety journey and then he addressed his “womanizer” past. Over the years John Mayers has been in the headlines for dating many A-list celebrities. John Mayer Doesn’t Date Anymore
“Dating is no longer a codified activity for me, it doesn’t exist in a kind of … it’s not patterned anymore,” said the singer who had a “womanizer past“. Everything started with John Mayer’s decision to quit drinking. He quit drinking after about six years. “So I don’t have the liquid courage. I just have dry courage. You have to be honest,” the Grammy winner said. “You have to be really, glaringly honest,” he added.
The singer also talked about his concept of dating. “That is what that is,” he said on the podcast hosted by Alex Cooper. “That’s the role I play on the big TV show I didn’t write, but that’s fine. Maybe I had a hand in it or something.” Mayers admitted the fact that he believed from a very young age that romance happened by accident and that he learned to capitalize on it.

Whom Is The 2001 Hit Song ‘Your Body Is a Wonderland’ About?
The songwriter has dated many celebrities including Cameron Diaz, Jessica Simpson, Katy Perry, and Jennifer Aniston over the years. When asked if the 2001 song Your Body Is a Wonderland is about any of his celebrity exes, the songwriter answered negatively.
Mayer cleared that he hadn’t met or dated anyone famous when writing the lyrics. “That was about my first girlfriend [in high school]. I was 21 when I wrote that song and I was nostalgic for being 16,” the Waiting on the World to Change singer said.
Mayer also wants his audience to stop asking him to settle down. He said that he was happy about the stack of pillows on his left side that “doesn’t resent or hate me or bring me down.”
