If DC is looking for their first-ever black Batman, the search ends here because Winston Duke has just expressed his interest in the role. So much so that he’s even willing to switch from Marvel to DC. It’s worth mentioning that a few more celebrities have come up showing interest in the role, more notably Alan Ritchson and Jake Gyllenhaal.

Can Winston Duke Be The Next Batman?
Winston Duke has put his name forward for the role of Batman to be put into consideration, saying that he’s “all in for it”. The actor is now promoting his film ‘The Fall Guy’ and spoke about his willingness to switch from Marvel to DC if given the right role.
He said, “Listen, man, can you start that [campaign]? [Laughs] I would say I challenge you to get on all these socials and push for me. Get your community. I would love to. I would love to do that as Batman. I’d love any opportunity to explore new characters, to change narratives around some of these entrenched ideas of how these characters are supposed to look, sound, and perform. I’m all for it.”
Duke is mostly known for being in ‘Black Panther‘ and has been a significant part of the franchise. His prior experience in being in Marvel is surely going to be one of the pros of him getting cast as the next Batman.

Winston Duke’s Career
Winston Duke has already made a name for himself through his role in Marvel’s ‘Black Panther’. Thanks to his outstanding portrayal of M’Baku in both films, the actor stands out. His acting prowess is vast and admirable. He has made numerous film and television appearances, showcasing his excellent acting skills and remarkable athleticism.
In addition to playing M’Baku in the MCU’s ‘Black Panther‘, ‘Avengers: Infinity War’, ‘Avengers: Endgame‘, and ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever‘, Duke has also acted in David Leitch’s 2024 film ‘The Fall Guy‘. Though he isn’t a well-known actor as of yet, his roles with Marvel got him critical acclaim and a lot of fame. After ‘The Fall Guy‘, it has only risen as his role in the Ryan Gosling starrer has been admired by many.
Duke still needs to land the ideal job to cement his career as a Hollywood leading man, but for now, he has his sights set on what will probably end up being the most sought-after position in the industry.
