DC Universe has introduced many characters to the audience over the years. The one thing that has been praised about this universe is that they have remained faithful to the characters’ appearances in the comics and have tried not to bring any major changes.
Among all the characters, Green Lantern is one who still needs a proper debut. While a film was released back in 2011, it failed to receive a positive response, and plans for a sequel or reboot were canceled. A few animated shows and films based on the character have also been released but they received a mixed response. Meanwhile, let’s check where the makers and producers are going wrong.

Green Lantern Always Features Poor Storyline And Characters
A film cannot become successful until it has a good storyline and characters. They are the main root of a project that can contribute to the successful run of the film or TV show. But this has not happened in terms of Green Lantern.
For instance, the 2011 film was slammed for its bad storyline and there were complaints regarding every scene that was included in the project. The project also introduced some popular characters from the comics that include Tomar-Re. But the producers did not work much in the development of those characters.

Underwhelming Villains And Unfaithfulness To The Suit
Green Lantern projects always had problems bringing an intimidating villain on screen. The 2011 film had Parallax as the main antagonist but this choice is criticized even today, with some preferring that Sinestro would have been a better choice.
Another thing that has affected the projects is the suit and CGI. The usage of the green screen has been common for important sequences in a film or TV project. But this process has been used for the suit of Green Lantern and in the 2011 film, the lead character’s head was floating in an artificial background.
