“I’m Geeking Out Every Time I Try On The Supersuit”: Isabela Merced Is Living Her Coolest Dream Of Playing Hawkgirl On ‘Superman’

Set images ofSuperman directed and written by James Gunn are slowly hitting social media platforms by the week. Gunn, known for his work in MCU‘s ‘The Guardians Of The Galaxy‘, was recently named the head of DC Studios.

The movie starring David Corenswet who plays Superman and Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor seems to be going back to the true essence of Superman, with vibrant colors, cape and the American Spirit built in. One of the stars of the movie – Isabela Merced who plays Hawkgirl – shared her first-hand experience being in the movie.

Isabela Merced On Playing Hawkgirl In ‘Superman’

Isabela Merced has been cast to play Shiera Sanders, also known as Hawkgirl in James Gunn’s ‘Superman‘. The 22-year-old, who played Dora in ‘Dora and The Lost City of Gold‘, will take on the role of the warrior princess and long-time Justice League member.

Hawkgirl’s abilities include super-strength and flight. Not much is known about how important Hawkgirl will be in the upcoming movie, but Isabela Merced has shared her enthusiasm about playing the role. She told Empire Magazine, “I’m geeking out every time I try on the supersuit! It’s just the coolest thing in the world to me.”
