The 2024 Oscars was the year’s celebration, as ‘Oppenheimer‘ swept away almost all the awards in multiple categories. But there were many iconic moments at the Oscars, one of them being the Batman reunion with Michael Keaton, Danny DeVito, and Arnold Schwarzenegger.
In the 1990s, Michael Keaton donned the cape of Batman while Danny DeVito embodied Batman’s arch nemesis Penguin and Arnold Schwarzenegger played the role of Mr. Freeze. The trio’s reunion at the Academy Awards was nothing but a wave of nostalgia.
Danny DeVito And Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Reunion At The Oscars
‘Batman’ stars Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny DeVito were called upon for the award for Best Visual Effects award. The hilarious segment started with DeVito telling the audience that he and Schwarzenegger were invited on stage together because they both tried to kill Batman, referencing ‘Batman and Robin’ in which Schwarzenegger was Mr. Freeze and DeVito played Penguin in 1992 ‘Batman Returns’.
Moving forward into the segment, Arnold Schwarzenegger opened up about his character’s only weakness, leading Danny DeVito to ask if it is heat. To which Schwarzenegger hilariously replied that it was love. Taking a trip down memory lane, DeVito claimed that Keaton’s Batman threw him out of a window.

During an interview with Jimmy Kimmel on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Michael Keaton opened up about a chat after the Oscars. Keaton spoke about many things, including the Oscars segment where he was trashed-talked by his former Batman colleagues.
The ‘Batman’ star said, “You know what? You’ll be back when I tell you to come back. Danny is the one I’d worry about cause he’s sneaky. He’d creep up behind you, and he has the height advantage because he’s so small. You don’t know where he is. He’s always sneaking around. The other guy I would just put away. He’s too slow.”
