Henry Cavill hasn’t played Superman in the DC Extended Universe in five years, but he finally did so thanks to a cameo in ‘Black Adam‘. And now, during an interview with MTV, the actor has spoken up about what it was like slipping back into the cape and tights.
It was a very intense time for him as he explained, “I went to Warner Bros’ studio in the UK and got back in the suit.” Fans naturally wondered what Cavill’s character’s future held after seeing him in the ‘Black Adam‘ mid-credits sequence. So, when will ‘Man of Steel 2‘ be released?

Is There Going To Be A ‘Man Of Steel 2’?
Most likely, yes, but because there have already been a few failed attempts at another Superman standalone film, we’re trying not to get too enthusiastic.
The original movie’s popularity helped pave the way for 2016’s ‘Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice‘, which was probably given priority. This was done in order to aid Warner Bros. in rapidly expanding its shared DC Comics world.
However, The Hollywood Reporter reported earlier this month that ‘Man of Steel 2‘ is now again in active development, under the direction of frequent DC film producer Charles Roven, as a result of his ‘Black Adam‘ appearance.
Although it was highlighted that no writers or directors were presently attached, the report indicated an “intense desire” among Warner Bros officials for Cavill to return in a full-fledged sequel.

When Can We Expect The Sequel?
Given that Warner Bros appears to be starting over with ‘Man of Steel 2‘, it’s possible that Cavill won’t be taking the lead in another solo movie for a while.
We would advise fans to not anticipate this movie at the earliest. Since there is a lot of scope for modern-day superhero movies, as of now. This would put the earliest release date for the film in late 2024.
Cavill’s previously indicated dedication to ‘The Witcher‘ may also be a problem. Because of the fantasy drama’s protracted production schedule, it would undoubtedly need to be adjusted.
