Antony Starr has garnered a lot of fan following with his acting in Amazon Prime’s superhero show ‘The Boys.’ In the show, he plays the powerful and psychopathic hero Homelander.
It looks like Antony has bagged another great role, but this time in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). According to reports, Antony will be playing the antagonist Dracula in the latest iteration of ‘Blade.’

Antony Starr Will Be Portraying Dracula
The New Zealand actor has joined Marvel and will be appearing as the antagonist Dracula in the upcoming ‘Blade.’ According to Screen Geek, Starr will be revealed as the vampire villain at either this month’s San Diego Comic-Con or at the 2022 D23 convention.
Earlier it was reported that the film will star Mahershala Ali (in the lead role), Kit Harrington, Aaron Pierre, Milan Ray, and Bassam Tariq.

As Marvel’s phase 4 is in full swing, the studio has plans for several upcoming sequels and reboots. This includes ‘Blade’, ‘Deadpool’, ‘The Marvels’, and ‘World War Hulk’ among others.
Disney+’s ‘Ms. Marvel‘ has paved the way for mutant superheroes in the MCU. In the final episode, it is revealed that Kamala Khan is actually a mutant and not an Inhuman.
Well, it will be interesting to see the Homelander actor donning another role. But it will be a cakewalk since Starr is well-versed with playing villain roles.
Starr recently told his fans via social media that he won’t be available lately as he is busy shooting. Fans quickly assumed that he is filming for ‘Blade.’

Antony Starr Arrested In Spain For Assault
In March this year, Starr was arrested in Spain for physically assaulting a 21-year-old chef named Bathuel Araujo. The incident took place at the Costa Blanca pub. Starr was reportedly given a 12-month suspended prison sentence.
According to the eyewitnesses, the 46-year-old actor allegedly smashed a glass in the chef’s face after punching him. He later admitted to his charges.
Starr was shooting a film with director Guy Ritchie in the area when he punched the Venezuelan man in the face twice during an altercation. In a statement, the spokesperson of the National Police of Spain confirmed the incident. The chef was taken to the hospital and received four stitches above his eye.
‘The Boys‘ actor was sentenced to a 12-month suspended prison sentence and paid $5,530 in restitution to avoid prison time.
