    Star Trek: Enterprise

    The series originally aired from September 26, 2001, to May 13, 2005. It is set about 100 years before the Star Trek Original series and follows the life and adventures of Captain Jack Archer and Starship Enterprise.

    Star Trek: Discovery

    Star Trek: Discovery‘ is the seventh Star Trek series that debuted in 2017. The story follows the crew about 10 years before the ‘Star Trek: The Original Series‘. The show is available to watch on Paramount. It follows Michael Burnham the first officer aboard the USS Shenzhou before she was found guilty of mutineers.

    Star Trek: The Original Series

    The original series aired from 1966 to 1969 and followed the time period of 2266 to 2269 according to the star date. The set in the series is that of the Milky Way Galaxy. It introduces William Shatner’s Captain James T Kirk and Leonard Nimoy’s Spock.

    Star Trek: The Animated Series

    The original series converted the franchise into a Cult Classic. The Animated series aired from 1973 to 1974. The creator Gene Roddenberry ensured most of the original cast provided the voice-over for their respective characters. This series also became the first series of the franchise to gain critical appreciation. Also, it won an Emmy award for both of its seasons.

    Star Trek: The Motion Picture

    The film was released in 1979 and became the first feature film in the franchise. The cast remains the same as the cast of the original television series. When an indestructible spacecraft is spotted approaching the Earth, Admiral James T. Kirk resumes command of the overhauled USS Enterprise in order to intercept it.

    This film came out in 1986 and is the fourth installment of the Film Series. The plot revolves around Admiral James T. Kirk and his crew who undergo time travel to save Earth from an alien probe.

    Star Trek V: The Final Frontier

    ‘Star Trek V: The Final Frontier’ was directed by William Shatner and is the fifth installment in the film series. The plot of the movie involves Captain Kirk and his crew on a mission to save Klingons and Romulans. However, after reaching there they realize that it was Spock’s half-brother, Sybok who took the hostages in hopes of meeting the god.

    Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country

    This is the final installment of the film series. It was released in 1991 and is directed by Nicholas Meyer. The plot follows Kirk and McCoy who are charged with the crime of assassinating the Klingon High Chancellor. While they are imprisoned the crew finds ways to help them escape.

    Star Trek: The Next Generation

    The movie plot is set after 71 years of the USS Enterprise’s last mission with Kirk. The movie introduces us to the new USS Enterprise led by Captain Jean Luc Picard. This series ran for seven years from 1987 to 1994.

    Star Trek: Deep Space Nine

    The series come fourth in the number of tv series of this franchise and was released in 1993. It ran till 1999, spanning 176 episodes over seven seasons. It overlaps with the end of The Next Generation We follow the conflict between the Cardassians and the Bajorans in the series.

    Star Trek Generations

    This film was released in 1994 and is the seventh film in the franchise. The plot follows Captain Picard and his crew as they come face to face with Dr. Soran. Dr. Tolian Soran is played by Malcolm McDowell and is rescued from the Energy Ribbon by a retired Captain James T Kirk.

    Star Trek: Voyager

    The series consists of 172 episodes and seven seasons. It was released in 1995 and ran a successful sex year run till 2001. It follows a group of Maquis rebels, led by Captain Kathryn Janeway as they get stuck in a Delta Quadrant due to an energy wave.

    Star Trek: First Contact

    This eighth installment in the movie franchise was released in 1996. The plot in the film involves a new Borg threat against the Earth. We follow Captain Picard and his crew as they try to make sure that Zefram Cochrane makes his maiden flight reach warp speed.

    Star Trek: Insurrection

    The movie was released in 1998 and is the ninth installment in the series. Captain Picard and the crew of the Enterprise decide to find the fountain of youth. When Picard learns that this quest may affect the lives of many people, he decides to commit treason.

    Star Trek: Nemesis

    The tenth film in the franchise came out in 2002. It follows our Captain Picard and his crew as they search for the fountain of youth. However, they find out that Praetor Shinzon who is the villain of the film is actually the clone of Picard, created in the hopes that he would one day be able to infiltrate the Federation.

    Star Trek: Picard

    This is the eighth series of the franchise and it came out in 2020. It is the follow-up series to The Next Generation and Nemesis. It follows Jean Luc Picard as he moves ahead with his life.

    Star Trek: Discovery seasons 3 and 4

    Discovery seasons 3 and 4 ran from 2020 to 2021. The show follows Burnham and the crew as they go through time travel and visit the future. However, due to a series of events, Burnham gets separated from the rest of the crew. In the next season, the plot also revolves around Burnham and the crew as they rebuild the Federation of Planets.

    Star Trek

    The film was released in 2009 and comes under the “Kelvin Timeline”. It is the 11th film in the franchise. In the film we follow Admiral James T.kirk and Spock played by Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto respectively as they go face to face with the Romulan Nero, played by Eric Bana, attacking the USS Kelvin.

    Star Trek Into Darkness

    ‘Into Darkness‘ follows an alternate timeline. We find our heroes, Captain James T Kirk and Spock face to face with Kahn. The USS Enterprise crew travels to a forbidden zone to rescue an endangered species. Captain Kirk and his crew enter the war zone to find the ultimate weapon of mass destruction.

    Star Trek Beyond

    Beyond’ was released in 2016 and was directed by Justin Lin and is the 13th film in the series. When the USS Enterprise crash lands on Altamid after an attack by the director Krall. We follow Kirk, Spock, and the crew as they try to find a way off that planet and stop Krall before he destroys the federation.
