“It’s A Disgrace”: Billie Eilish Says She Started Watching Adult Movies When She Was 11

On the Howard Stern show, Billie Eilish revealed about her addiction to watching pornography and how it “destroyed her brain” when she was just 11. The show on Sirius XM radio covered the Grammy-winning singer’s nightmares because of porn and how that messed her up when she started dating. Eilish known for her outspokenness and dark lyrics had once again proved that by opening about a topic that usually is not welcomed by many audiences.

Research has proven that porn has a drastic influence on young people and how they perceive sex. How young people understand sex is compounded by the lack of sex education and the increasing availability of porn online. As Eilish points out in her interview, teenagers learn sex through porn because there is a humongous lack of sex education. Many times, people tend to forget that porn is not educational and it is just a fantasy.

Billie Eilish told Howard Stern that she started watching porn when she was just 11. “I used to watch a lot of porn, to be honest. I started watching porn when I was like 11,” she said. “I thought that’s how you learned how to have sex. I was watching abusive porn, to be honest, when I was like 14.” She also felt that watching pornography “destroyed” her brain.

It got to the point where Eilish could not watch porn that wasn’t “abusive,” because that was all that she had found interesting. Since she had this preconceived notion of sex, she thought that she had to be attracted to “violence” in sex to be desirable. In consequence, this led to her “not saying no” in certain sexual situations that she classifies as “not good”.

Why The ‘Bad Guy’ Singer Did Not Say “No” In Certain Sexual Situations?

“I was a virgin,” Eilish said. “I had never done anything. And so, it led to problems. The first few times I had sex, I was not saying no to things that were not good. And it’s because I thought that’s what I was supposed to be attracted to.” In ultimatum, she feels like porn “destroyed” her brain and may have contributed to her experiences with sleep paralysis.

She also noted that porn influences how young people think women should look and act. “Women’s bodies don’t look like that. We don’t come like that,” she said. “I’m so angry that porn is so loved, and I’m so angry at myself for thinking that it was OK.” In all fairness, porn isn’t inherently bad. However, more precautious understanding and awareness has to be made so that people don’t complicate their real life sexual interactions with the fantasy of porn they watched.
