The year 2019 and turning 17 was one of the best times as per her admission. However, that was not the case always for Eilish. In the Rolling Stone interview, she revealed how her body insecurities turned into body dysmorphia. This mental health condition is when an individual is obsessively focused on one’s flaws in their appearance. The body image started when she was merely 12 years old and joined a dance class.

In the interview, she said, “That was probably when I was the most insecure. I wasn’t as confident. I couldn’t speak and just be normal. When I think about it or see pictures of me then, I was so not OK with who I was. At dance, you wear really tiny clothes, and I’ve never felt comfortable in really tiny clothes. I was always worried about my appearance.”

The problem became grim when the artist became 13 years old. She continued, “All I can think of is how miserable I was. How completely distraught and confused. Thirteen to sixteen was rough.” Today, she has risen to the pinnacle of success and has garnered a lot of loving and protective fans for her mental health advocacy and her music which possess healing powers for her fans.
