Snoop Dogg Is Excited For 2024 Paris Olympics
Snoop Dogg is set to add a touch of ‘Snoop style’ to the coverage of the 2024 Summer Games in Paris. As per an official announcement, the rapper is teaming up with NBCUniversal to provide regular reports during the Olympics primetime show.
The primetime show will kick off on July 26 and will be broadcast on NBC and Peacock. The announcement about Snoop Doff being a part of it came during halftime of the Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Vikings Sunday Night Football game on NBC and Peacock.
Snoop, who is already well-known for his peculiar style and commentary skills during the dressage competition in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, will be on-site in Paris. Apart from his musical work, his fans are now eager to see what he has to offer through his take on the prestigious sporting events.
Snoop Dogg said he is excited about the new venture, “I grew up watching the Olympics and am thrilled to see the incredible athletes bring their A-game to Paris. It’s a celebration of skill, dedication, and the pursuit of greatness. We’re going to have some amazing competitions, and, of course, I will be bringing that Snoop style to the mix. Snoop Praised For Good Commentary After 2020 Tokyo Olympics
Snoop’s commentary has been globally praised before, which is perhaps the reason why he has been chosen for the job again. The executive producer and president of NBC Olympics Production, Molly Solomon has also praised Snoop’s previous Olympic commentary.
“Snoop is already an Olympic gold medal commentator, generating tens of millions of views for his highlights commentary on Peacock of the dressage competition during the Tokyo Olympics, ” she said, adding that Snoop’s rather eccentric perspective earned him the role of Special Correspondent in Paris.
“That performance alone has earned Snoop a job as our Special Correspondent in Paris. We don’t know what the heck is going to happen every day, but we know he will add his unique perspective to our reimagined Olympic primetime show,” she said.
Paris will be hosting the Olympic games for the third time this year. NBC and Peacock will be the primary platforms for NBCUniversal’s coverage of the Olympic Games Paris 2024, scheduled from July 26 to August 11. NBCU also holds the U.S. media rights to the Olympic Games through 2032.
