“I’d Be Excited To Do More”: Chiwetel Ejiofor Addresses Baron Mordo’s MCU Future

Chiwetel Ejiofor, the talented actor who brought Baron Mordo to life in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, has expressed his interest in returning to the role. In a recent interview, Ejiofor discussed the possibility of reprising the role and shared his admiration for the character. 

Additionally, his enthusiasm for the character makes it seem likely that we haven’t seen the last of him. So, fans can hope to see more of Baron Mordo and his intriguing journey.

Chiwetel Ejiofor Is More Than Willing To Return As Baron Mondo

Baron Mordo’s debut in ‘Doctor Strange’ (2016) was a memorable one. The character was initially presented as a fellow sorcerer and ally to Stephen Strange. However, a pivotal scene near the end of the film reveals Mordo’s dark side.

This led him to hunt down and kill other sorcerers who he deemed unworthy. While Mordo’s role in ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’ was ultimately limited, Ejiofor’s performance left a lasting impression. 

The actor revealed that there was originally a scene at the beginning of the film where Mordo confronted the Scarlet Witch. However, it was ultimately cut from the final version. This cut scene could have set the stage for a more prominent role for Mordo in future MCU projects. 

Additionally, Ejiofor clearly enjoys playing Baron Mordo and would be excited to reprise the role. “Well, we’ll see…it’s beyond me,” he said in an interview with Comicbook. “It’s an incredible character. I’d be excited to do more.” While there are no concrete plans for Baron Mordo’s return to the MCU, Ejiofor’s enthusiasm suggests that there is potential for a future.

When it comes to the future of the character in the MCU everything remains uncertain. However, Ejiofor’s positive comments about Mordo’s arc suggest that he is open to returning to the role in the future. Moreover, the character’s story is far from over, and there is still much to explore.
