Doctor Doom doesn’t have to change everything to make Battleworld his ideal kingdom. According to one wild theory about ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ and ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’, Doom may be able to utilize an existing spell in the MCU to make his rule virtually unstoppable.
The Runes of Kof-Kol Could Be Doctor Doom’s Key to Ruling Battleworld
That spell is the runes of Kof-Kol, which was used in ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’. Doctor Strange used the spell to alter the memories of everyone on Earth, making them forget Peter Parker’s identity. What if Doom takes that concept to the extreme?

Rather than just creating a new reality, Doom might be able to wipe the Battleworld’s inhabitants’ memories. Both heroes and civilians may lose their memories of their home worlds, families, identities, and even the fact that Battleworld was created from the destruction of the multiverse.
Then Doom wouldn’t just rule the world. He would be the one who would control what everyone would remember about it. This is where Doctor Strange can be really crucial. Strange already knows the spell, so Marvel wouldn’t need to come up with a whole new magical answer to how Doom can alter the memories.
Maybe it’s Doom that compels Strange to cast the spell. Or, even worse, Doom might understand how the spell works and, over time, be able to boost it throughout Battleworld. Imagine the heroes woke up in the new universe of Doom and really believed they lived there all the time.
That would make resistance virtually impossible. Steve Rogers may not recall that he was once Captain America. Peter Parker may not ever remember his former life. The X-Men might think they’ve always been there with the Avengers. The emotional potential is huge.
‘No Way Home’ Might Have A Bigger Connection To The Multiverse Saga
The theory would also make ‘No Way Home’ have an amazingly significant tie-in to the upcoming Avengers sequel. Marvel could just take a concept that has already been set up and make it even more terrifying. Doom’s ultimate weapon wouldn’t have to be power.

It could be forgetting. If anyone does not recall the worlds that were destroyed, then no one knows what they lost. If no one remembers battling Doom, they might never realize they need to fight him again. For a villain obsessed with control, that might be the perfect way to rule Battleworld.
