“Had To Go On The Internet To Find Out”: Elizabeth Olsen Reveals She Was Caught Off Guard By Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom Casting

Moreover, the recent announcement that Robert Downey Jr. will be playing Doctor Doom was no exception. Additionally, Elizabeth Olsen, who portrayed Wanda Maximoff aka The Scarlet Witch in the MCU, recently commented on the casting news while talking to The Standard.

Olsen revealed that she learned about Downey Jr.‘s casting through social media and had no prior knowledge of the decision. She revealed that she was pleasantly surprised by the news. “Lots of people were texting me saying, ‘I can’t believe this about Downey, did you know?’ and I was like, ‘I have no idea what you’re talking about’ and had to go on the internet to find out,” she explained.

Moreover, also discussed her own future in the MCU. She expressed her love for the ‘WandaVision’ series, which opened up a new world for her character. In addition, she also praised ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’ for allowing her to explore different aspects of Wanda’s personality.

Rumors Suggests That The Scarlet Witch Solo Movie Is Already In Production

Marvel fans have long been clamoring for a solo film starring Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch. Her arc took a dramatic turn in ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’ where she turned into a villain and went on a killing spree.

Additionally, the film also had her last appearance as the Scarlet Witch. Moreover, a recent report from Production Weekly suggests that this dream may finally become a reality.

According to the report, Marvel Studios is planning to produce a Scarlet Witch solo movie in 2026. However, it’s important to note that nothing has been officially confirmed by Marvel Studios.
