Jackman shared that in the back of his head, he wanted both Deadpool and Wolverine to come together for a movie, and his prophecy became true. The announcement of ‘Deadpool And Wolverine’ was like music to the ears of the Marvel fans.
Actual Reason Why Hugh Jackman Suited Up As Wolverine Again
Hugh Jackman joined Ryan Reynolds with ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ director Shawn Levy for an interview with Rotten Tomatoes’ Jacqueline Coley. There Hugh explained why he suited again as Wolverine. He has a very interesting yet funny explanation for the same.
Hugh said, “I was on my way – I was just driving – and literally just like a bolt of lightning came this knowing, deep in my gut, that I wanted to do this film with Ryan… for Deadpool and Wolverine to come together. And Jacqueline, I swear to you, when I said I was done I really thought I was done”.

Wolverine actor added, “But, in the back of my head, ever since I saw Deadpool 1, I was like ‘Those two characters together…’ I knew it: I knew the fans wanted it. Ever since I put on the claws fans have talked about these two, so that had always been there, but I just knew.”
Fans were shocked after the announcement of ‘Deadpool And Wolverine’ and more excited to hear that Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman are teaming up for a movie.

Hugh Jackman Owed A Debt To Marvel
Well, Hugh Jackman also had some previous debts to recover from Marvel Cinematic Universe, and what’s better than to compensate it with a movie with the two most loved characters. Hugh continued, “I literally could not wait to arrive; as soon as I arrived I rang Ryan and I said ‘Let’s do it.’ Like, I hadn’t rung my agent, no one! I had to ring my agent [after] and say ‘Oh, by the way, I’ve just committed to a movie.’ [laughs].”
Regardless, fans’ wishes to see Hugh in a Wolverine suit came true. Ryan, Hugh, and director Shawn discussed more on the interview related to the possible cameos, rumors of potential characters showing up in the movie, and whatnot.
There are rumors of Taylor Swift being the Dazzler, to which Shawn Levy has already said how “easy” it was to get certain actors to make cameos in ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’. Your wait isn’t much as the movie is all set to release on 26 July 2024
