“I Don’t Make Sense In That World”: Dakota Johnson Swears She Will Never Do A film Like ‘Madame Web’ Again

Madame Web‘ has been in the news for all the wrong reasons. Adopted from Marvel comics, it is a superhero movie and the fourth entry in Sony’s Spiderman Film franchise. The film is becoming more and more popular for entirely unfavorable reasons. During the film’s press tour, stars Dakota Johnson and ‘Euphoria‘ star Sydney Sweeney gave some chaotic interviews.

First Dakota Johnson thought that she was duped into signing it as a “Marvel movie” only to find out later that it was just a standard Sony Spiderman film. She made some statements about her “not watching her own movie” and then covering it by saying it is a way of “self-care” and now she is adding more to the fire by saying, “I don’t make sense in the world”.

In a candid interview with Bustle, Dakota Johnson stated that she is not shocked by the negative reviews the film is receiving. She went so far as to say, “Art cannot be created using algorithms and numbers.” She proceeded to say that she would “probably never do anything like it again.” The reason? As per Johnson, “You sign on to something and it’s one thing and then as you’re making it, it becomes completely different thing“. “It was definitely an experience…I probably will never do anything like it again because I don’t make sense in that world.”

Is it because she doesn’t like the movie, or is it because of the way she acts in it? The actress, however, made similar remarks about her film Fifty Shades of Grey. Therefore, some think this might be a hint at a publicity stunt.

A review online says that Madame Web is “mediocre”. It lacks compelling action, humor, and drama. The film’s Rotten Tomatoes rating stands at a disappointing low of 12%. Clearly, it could have been much better.

Some viewers said that ‘it ‘Madame Web‘ was “painful to watch” and the cast of the movie all seemed a bit off. So after these kinds of reviews from the people and the cast of the movie also making bad comments like these, would you watch the movie?
