Alexandra Shipp Has No Interest In Playing Storm Anymore
During an interview with Entertainment Tonight at the premiere of ‘Anyone But You‘, the actress expressed her disinterest in returning to the big-money franchise. Alexandra Shipp does not want to reprise the role of Strom. According to her, she’s satisfied with what she contributed to the character and thinks it’s time for someone else to take up the mantle.
In the interview, Shipp said, “Yeah. I’m not interested. The thing is, what I love about the career that I’ve been able to form is that I can play many different things and at this point, I feel like I’ve done what I needed to do with Storm and I think that there are other women who could take on that role and really kill it and I support that.”

Halle Berry Might Return To Play The Iconic Role
Halle Berry took up the Storm mantle in the ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’ and left a memorable impact. And now the actress is open to returning to the role. In an interview with Vanity Fair, the ‘Catwomen’ actress stated, “I would absolutely return to it, it’s a beloved character, I loved playing Storm, and people love Storm. So, I would absolutely, you know, if we could find a version that would make sense or a storyline that would make sense, I would absolutely do that, for sure.”
In 2002, Berry created history as the first African-American woman to win the Best Actress Academy Award for ‘Monster’s Ball’. The actress admitted a shift in her career after she was under the false pretension that Marvel helped her achieve recognition and awards.
