Marvel Boss Kevin Feige Talks About MCU’s Upcoming Phase 5 Roadmap

The end of Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is near, which began in 2021. Technically, it was set to begin in 2020, but due to the pandemic, it got pushed to the next year. Now, it is set to end in the year 2023. Recently, Kevin Feige hinted at Phase 5 of MCU, which will begin in 2024.

The first three phases of MCU revolved around Thanos and were known as Infinity Saga. Phases 4, 5, and 6 are a part of Secret Wars which has the concept of the multiverse. Fans are speculating that Phase 5 of MCU may include ‘Fantastic Four’, ‘Blade’, ‘Deadpool 3’, ‘Captain America 4’ and ‘X-Men’. Fans also think it’ll include ‘Nova‘, ‘Thunderbolts‘, ‘Shang-Chi 2’ and so on.

All About MCU Phase 5 Announcement By Kevin Feige

The introduction of He Who Remains gave some insight into which direction the Secret Wars saga is heading. Secret Wars saga includes multiversal war and events called incursions which pose a threat to the world. Marvel boss Kevin Feige has provided fodder for hungry fans with the hints of Phase 5. “As we’re nearing the end of Phase 4, I think people will start to see where this next saga is going,” Feige told Total Film.

He said, “I think there have been many clues already, that are at least apparent to me, of where this whole saga is going.” Feige also teased, “We’ll be a little more direct about that in the coming months, to set a plan, so audiences who want to see the bigger picture can see a tiny, tiny, tiny bit more of the roadmap.”

Fans Are Super Excited About Phase 5 Of MCU

Fans are having a mixed reaction to the announcement by Kevin Feige. They took to Twitter to express their opinions on the matter. One fan wrote, “#secretwars feels more like a potential storyline for season 2 of What-If in Disney+ than a multi-year/multi-film investment which may take until at least the early 2030s to run its course”. Another wrote in a tweet, “Does anyone think it could be a trilogy? For example 1. #Incursions 2. #SecretWars 3. #Battleworld #Marvel @MarvelStudios.”
