Marvel Studios along with ILM Immersive recently announced their new collaborative project, ‘What If…?- An Immersive Story’. It will be an Apple Vision Pro-exclusive interactive story and the first of its kind on Disney+.
‘What If…?’ has already impressed fans with its unique multiversal stories. It serves fans the events of MCU with a unique twist. With this interactive project, fans will be able to explore Marvel’s multiverse in a very new and interesting way.

‘What If…?- An Immersive Story’ Director Calls It An Evolution In Storytelling
While talking about the interactive project, Dave Bushore, executive producer and director, said, “As a kid, my favorite stories were about worlds beyond my own, advanced technologies, and heroes traveling across space and time. ‘What If…? – An Immersive Story’ is the next evolution in how we tell our stories, where fans across generations can experience them and live out the adventure alongside their favorite heroes.”
Bushore further said, “This experience kicks the door open to the Marvel Universe, and it’s a glimpse of what I’ve been waiting for my whole life.”
The executive producer of ‘X-Men ’97’, Brad Winderbaum claimed ‘What If…?- An Immersive Story’ will take the experience of the show to a different level. he said, “‘What If…? – An Immersive Story’ takes this one step further and actually allows you to visit these strange new worlds, not as a Watcher but as an actual participant. The creative work on this project is nothing less than stellar and we could not be more excited for fans to interact firsthand with some of their favorite Marvel heroes.”
Fans will come face-to-face with their favorite characters thanks to the unparalleled Apple Vision Pro. Harnessing Infinity Stones, or performing Sorcerors’s magic will be an experience to have.
In addition, fans will be able to experience some of the iconic locations they saw in the MCU.

How ‘What If…?’ Became So Popular
The first ‘What If…?’ comic book came out in 1977. Fans from the get-go liked the creators’ different take on the already established stories. For example, the first story was “What If Spider-Man Had Joined the “Fantastic Four?”
Comic book series take on how things would have unfolded if creators had picked a different route for some moment really became popular. Given the unique format of this comic series, Marvel just had to make an animated series on it.
In 2021, ‘What If…?’ animated series hit Disney+. It is set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It brought fans stories like ‘What If.., Hela Found The Ten Rings?’ There is a huge chunk of the MCU fans who are distant from comic books. This way of story-telling and different take on the stories that they already saw in the MCU made fans fall in love with the series.
With this new interactive project, Marvel has surely added a new chapter in the realm of ‘What If…?’.
