X-Men and the mutants are finally going to be part of the MCU. ‘Deadpool And Wolverine’ will be the franchise’s first mutant movie. Even though any future X-Men movie hasn’t been announced, Marvel will inevitably release a film around one of the most popular factions.
It is rumored that the first X-Men will mainly focus on female superheroes. Now, another rumor has surfaced that Marvel is reportedly going after the “People’s Champ”, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson to play one of the main antagonists of X-Men, Apocalypse.

Scooper Claims Marvel is Considering Black Adam Star Dwayne Johnson To Play The Villainous Ancient Mutant Apocalypse
The popular scooper MyTimeToShineHello reported that Marvel is trying to bring The Rock. MTTSH has a good reputation in the community and has reported pretty accurate news. Dwayne Johnson is among the high-profile stars who haven’t been part of the MCU franchise.
The Apocalypse has a bit of a bulky appearance. Dwayne Johnson is currently in the best shape of his life despite being 52 years old. Johnson can pull off the role of Apocalypse when it comes to physical appearance. He recently had a stellar run in ‘WWE’. However, before this, the “Brahma Bull” was struggling at the box office.
His last superhero, 2022’s ‘Black Adam’, failed miserably. He can rejuvenate his career in the comic-book movie genre with Marvel. His last gimmick in ‘WWE’ was being the “Final Boss”. He also made fans fall in love with his villainous persona as the “Final Boss”. So, Dwayne Johnson playing X-Men’s villain can be a good play.

Past Appearances of Apocalypse in X-Men Movies And TV Shows
Fans saw Apocalypse outside the comics for the first time in the ‘X-Men: Animated Series’. He appeared in multiple seasons trying to instigate a war between mutants and humanity. However, X-Men with the help of Bishop and Cable stop him every time.
Fans got the first look at the live-action version of Apocalypse with 2016’s ‘X-Men: Apocalypse’. MCU’s current Moon Knight star Oscar Isaac played the role of X-Men’s antagonist. The movie was above average.
Apocalypse is at the power level of Thanos, Odin, and Thor. However, fans are yet to see him at his full potential in the live-action movies. With X-Men under the Marvel Studios’ wings, they might do justice to one of the “World’s First Mutant”.
