Marvel’s next saga could look radically different if these reported plans become reality. If even half of these ideas happen, Marvel’s next era could be enormous, and honestly, it’s hard not to get excited about the possibilities.
MCU Could Look Completely Different After ‘Secret Wars‘
The biggest change appears to be the expansion of the Avengers, with three separate teams operating under different identities before eventually coming together for one massive crossover. Clint Barton would lead the West Coast Avengers, Yelena Belova would head the New Avengers, while Sam Wilson would lead another team.

Each group could reportedly receive its own movie before the teams unite in a larger Avengers event. New heroes, mutants, and villains would also enter the picture, while Hydra and S.H.I.E.L.D. could make their returns.
Meanwhile, Sentry could receive his own series or special, exploring the mystery behind his powers and the organization connected to him. Even his unusual companion, Normie, could become part of the story.
Street-Level Heroes And The Fantastic Four Get Bigger
The street-level corner of Marvel could also expand dramatically. Jessica Jones and Luke Cage could return for a special, while Daredevil and Punisher could headline a movie trilogy. Kingpin, Tombstone and Hammerhead would reportedly control New York’s criminal underworld, with mutants even appearing in these grounded stories.

The Fantastic Four could become even more important. Their next movie is reportedly set to feature Spider-Man, while the Baxter Building gets a major technological upgrade. Reed Richards could discover the Negative Zone, eventually unleashing Annihilus.
The cosmic side of the MCU would also receive a major shake-up. Star-Lord could work for S.H.I.E.L.D. and S.W.A.R.L.D. alongside a new team featuring Quasar, Silver Surfer, Ronan, Gladiator, Beta Ray Bill, Adam Warlock, and Nova.
Thor, meanwhile, could become the protector of the Nine Realms, with Jane Foster by his side and their family growing in Asgard. And then there’s Spider-Man. The fifth movie could center on Jean DeWolff’s death, introduce Miles Morales, Daredevil, Eddie Brock, and the Osborn family, while Venom and a new Spider-Family expand Peter Parker’s world.
