Fans Spot Joe’s Pizza From ‘Spider-Man 2’ In New ‘Deadpool And Wolverine’ Footage
In the second installment of Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man trilogy, Tobey Maguire’s Peter Parker used to work for a small pizza restaurant named Joe’s Pizza. In the very opening scene, he is seen delivering pizza and fans see iconic dialogue from the franchise, “Pizza Time.”
Even though he was fired the very next moment and fans didn’t see it in the movie further, Joe’s Pizza got imprinted in fans’ minds. Thus, when they saw the scene diner scene in ‘Deadpool And Wolverine’, their mind just went straight to 2004’s ‘Spider-Man’.
So what actually did fans saw? In the new exclusive trailer, both Deadpool and Wolverine are arguing with each other while eating in a diner. While these 2 were demeaning each other, fans saw the menu of the diner. It included “Joe’s famous chili bowl” and “Joe’s easy omelette.”
Fans connected this scene directly to Joe’s Pizza from ‘Spider-Man 2’. This scene can have a connection to Sam Raimi’s universe or can be just an easter egg.

Will Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man Appear In ‘Deadpool And Wolverine’?
With the Joe’s Pizza tease, fans are wondering if they will watch Tobey Maguire put on the red-blue suit one more time in the MCU. Fans last time saw him in the 2021’s ‘Spider-man: No Way Home’, which also deals with the multiverse.
In addition, this supposed Joe’s Pizza tease isn’t the only reference from Sam Raimi’s trilogy. In the first trailer, fans can see a fight sequence between Deadpool and Wolverine which is the exact copy of the fight scene between Joe Manganiello’s Flash and Tobey Maguire’s Peter in 2000’s ‘Spider-Man’.Wolverine is throwing the same punches as Flash Thompson and Deadpool performs the exact same dodging maneuvers.
There are also some rumours going on that Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man will be in the upcoming ‘Avengers: Secret Wars‘. So, fans can see the ‘Deadpool And Wolverine’ to set up his role in the future Avengers movie.
If Maguire eventually appears, it will be a treat for the old Marvel fans to see the OG Spider-Man and Wolverine sharing the screen for the first time. Both Hugh Jackman And Tobey Maguire were cast perfectly for their role. These two finally crossing paths after 2 decades will be wonderful to see.
