Marvel is bringing some new additions to their universe by unlocking new characters. With the increasing characters and fanbase, almost everybody wants to work in the MCU, but not Miriam Margolyes. The ‘Harry Potter‘ actress revealed the paycheck dispute she had with Marvel and that she turned down a role in ‘Agatha‘.
Agatha is a ‘WandaVision’ spin-off that is set to release towards the end of 2024. Margolyes has been making bold statements like how ‘Harry Potter‘ fans need to “grow up“. She also unabashedly revealed how Marvel was unable to meet her financial demands.

Miriam Margolyes Rejected $600K For Her MCU Role
Miriam Margolyes has a professional dislike for working in the US still she has worked in high profile movies including ‘Romeo Juliet’ and ‘Age of Innocence‘ etc. She often says controversial things in her interviews. Recently she told an Australian news outlet about her Marvel offer for ‘Agatha‘, explaining why she had to reject it.
Margolyes said, “They contacted me and said, ‘we’re doing a story about witches’. I thought, ‘oh god, not witches again, because I’ve done that with Harry Potter… I don’t like America and I didn’t want to be in Georgia for four months. So I just said, ‘well, I want a million pounds ($1.2 million)’ and they said, ‘you can have half a million’, and I said, ‘no, I don’t want to do it’, so it just stopped. Really it’s a story about my own greed rather than anything else.”
Despite this, she is an amazing gifted actor with a great screen career well in her 80s. She could have brought a fun, new energy to the MCU with her unique acting style.

Who Is Agatha In MCU?
Agatha is a character appearing in the Marvel comics published by Stan Lee. Her full name is Agatha Harkness, a witch from Salem Massachusetts. She was accused of practicing dark magic by her own coven during the Salem Witch trials.
She has skills that seem to be precognitive, communicative analytical, or manipulative of living beings’ minds; she has it all. The wait is not long enough, ‘Agatha‘ by MCU will be arriving soon, with the lead role being played by Kathryn Hahn.
