Ryan Gosling Reacts To Kevin Feige Wanting Him To Be A Part Of MCU After He Announced His Marvel Dream Role Of Ghost Rider

Ryan Gosling is among the A-list stars who have not been part of either DC or Marvel‘s live-action franchise. Gosling has done it all except featuring in a superhero movie. From time to time he has been vocal about joining the MCU.

Not only that, he already has decided which character he wants to play. Gosling is eyeing the role of “King Of Hell”, Ghost Rider. In 2022, Kevin Feige also gave his views on Ryan Gosling playing Ghost Rider. He said, “Hey man, if Ryan wants to be Ghost Rider…Gosling’s unbelievable. Ryan is amazing. I’d love to find a place for him in the MCU.”

Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt have been promoting their new movie Fall Guy‘. Recently, they went on Happy, Sad, Confused Podcast hosted by Josh Horowitz. During the podcast, Horowitz brought out about the time Gosling told him about wanting to play Ghost Rider.

Gosling then talked about how Horowitz caught the President of Marvel, Kevin Feige a few years back to tell him about Gosling’s wish to play Ghost Rider. Gosling narrates, “This was a magical moment. I told Josh I would like to play Ghost Rider. He found Kevin Feige, corners him, does an interview with him. When he says, ‘I would like this,’ all the lights go off.”

Horowitz then asked Gosling if his cornering Feige had done anything. To this Gosling says, “I don’t Know.” Emily Blunt then jumps in and claims she didn’t expect Ryan to do a superhero movie. She said, “I thought we wore it as a badge of honour that we weren’t in superhero movies.” Ryan Gosling immediately replied to her and said, ‘No, you do.”

Ryan Gosling’s wife Eva Mendes has already starred in 2007’s ‘Ghost Rider’. So it might be one of the reasons he also wants to play Johnny Blaze. As for Emily Blunt her husband, John Krasinski has also played his part in the MCU and fulfilled fans’ wish to play Mr Fantastic in 2022’s ‘Dr Strange: Multiverse Of Madness’. Fans were demanding to see Blunt as Sue Storm but it never happened.

Is Ryan Gosling The Perfect Choice For Ghost Rider?

Ghost Rider is one of the coolest characters in the Marvel comics. A burning Skeleton guy riding a motorcycle and wielding a chain will never be “not cool”. In addition, his alter ego, Johnny Blaze is also a stunt driver which speaks for itself.

Fans last saw Nicolas Cage as Ghost Rider in 2007’s ‘Ghost Rider’ and 2011’s ‘Ghost Rider: Spirit Of Vengeance’. Later, Gabriel Luna played Ghost Rider(Robbie Reyes) in ‘Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D’. Even though ‘Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D’ is canon to the MCU, fans haven’t got Johnny Blaze’s version of Ghost Rider in the Franchise.

Now comes the question of Ryan Gosling being perfect for “Spirit Of Vengeance”. Ryan Gosling can play an 80-year-old grandma and would still kill with his acting. His persona fits Johnny Blaze very well and both are blonde too.

However, there have been talks that Ryan Gosling will join the MCU but not as Ghost Rider. Reportedly, Marvel is considering him to play the Nova(Richard Rider) which also suits him well. But Ghost Rider is what Ryan Gosling is craving for so fans never know.
