    What Spider-Man Franchise Actors Have Said About Returning To The Marvel Cinematic Universe

    Be it Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man, Marvel’s Peter Parker, or Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Man, fans have rejoiced and celebrated the different versions of the web-slinger. ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ finally brought in Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield along with Tom Holland, which opened the door for many possibilities considering Marvel is in its multiverse phase.

    However, from Toby Maguire to William Dafoe, the cast of various Spider-Man films have expressed their interest in returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

    Andrew Garfield was the most adored Spider-Man of all time and the tragic as he couldn’t save the love of his life, Gwen Stacy played by Emma Stone. However, he finally got redemption in No Way Home when Garfiled’s Peter Parker saved MJ. Garfield has acknowledged his love of the character as well as his belief that there’s plenty of room for his Peter Parker and his unfinished story to continue.

    In the 2023 book ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home – The Art of the Movie’, said, “The story never ends… Whether we film it or not, there’s a story happening in a universe somewhere, there’s endless potential with this character and other iterations. So yeah, he’s definitely out there doing something.”

    Tobey Maguire Is Definitely Up For Another Spider-Man Role

    Toby Maguire is looking forward to further Marvel projects. With his cameo appearance in ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’, fans have demanded to see more of Maguire’s Peter Parker.

    During an interview with Marvel.com, the actor said, “I love these films and I love all of the different series. If these guys called me and said, Would you show up tonight to hang out and goof around? Or would you show up to do this movie or read a scene or do a Spider-Man thing?’ it would be a ‘yes!”

    While there are no talks about ‘Spider-Man 4’, there are chances that Toby Maguire’s Spider-Man will be a part of ‘Avengers: Secret War’. 

    Tom Holland Revealed Conversations About ‘Spider-Man 4’ Are Happening

    During a conversation with Deadline in November 2023, Tom Holland revealed a potential Spider-Man 4 saying, “All I can say is that we have been actively engaging in conversations about what it could potentially look like for a fourth rendition of my character. Whether or not we can find a way to do justice to the character is another thing. I feel very protective of Spider-Man.”

    Holland further added, “I feel very, very lucky that we were able to work on a franchise that got better with each movie, that got more successful with each movie, which I think is really rare, and I want to protect his legacy. So, I won’t make another one for the sake of making another one. It will have to be worth the while of the character.”

    Willem Dafoe Will Return Only Under One Condition

    Willem Dafoe’s adaptation of Green Goblin has always been memorable, and his return in No Way Home exhilarated the fans. Although looking forward to playing the role in future projects, the actor shared his experience playing Green Golbin two different times.

    During the March 2023 talking to Inverse, Willem Dafoe said, “If everything was right, sure. I mean, that’s a great role. I liked the fact that it’s a double role both times. Twenty years ago, and fairly recently, both times [were] very different experiences, but I had a good time on both.” William Dafoe made it clear that he just does not want to be a part of a cameo role instead the ‘Lighthouse’ actor firmly stated that he wanted to do action.
