Star-Lord’s Return: Chris Pratt Is Not Done With Marvel Cinematic Universe Just Yet

From being a relatively unknown actor, Chris Pratt has made a name for himself in the industry, with him counted as one of the A-list movie stars. Pratt’s popularity and fame are majorly credited to his role as Star-Lord in the ‘Guardian of the Galaxy’ franchise.

Towards the end of ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3’, Peter Quill a.k.a Star-Lord returns to Earth and faces the human family he left behind. Fortunately, this is not the end of Chris Pratt’s journey as Star-Lord.

A new rumor indicated that Star-Lord will helm a standalone film. MCU News and Updates revealed on X that Marvel Studios is in the early stages of developing a Star-Lord project with Chris Pratt reprising his role. The character is most likely to play a part in any two of the upcoming Avengers films – ‘Avengers: Secrets Wars’ or ‘Avengers: Kang Dynasty’ or maybe a solo film between two of the projects.

However, Marvel Studios is yet to release the official update on the Star-Lord project along with the director helming it, the plot, and the star cast other than Chris Pratt. But this surely will light up the scenario of Marvel with Pratt’s misfit character, Star-Lord. The fans were devasted as ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ bid farewell with its threequel, giving every character its perfect character arc and story ending.

The ‘Parks and Recreation’ star is a part of two of the most successful and high-grossing franchises – Marvel Cinematic Universe and Jurassic Park which earned him worldwide recognition. However, Pratt has sprung a new relationship with Amazon starting with projects like ‘The Terminal List’ and ‘The Tomorrow War’. The actor has been reeled in for a prequel to the ‘Terminal List’ and now is also a part of yet another Amazon project – a sci-fi thriller, ‘Mercy’.

Jennifer Salke, the head of Amazon Studios teased the upcoming film while shedding light on the streamer’s relationship with Pratt during an interview with Deadline. Salke said, “From the moment Chuck Roven brought us Mercy and we read Marco van Belle’s script, we knew the film was meant for the big screen. As our relationship with The Terminal List and The Tomorrow War’s Chris Pratt continues to extend across film, we can’t wait to watch him bring this action-packed story to life, guided by Chuck and the vision of director Timur Bekmambetov.”

Salke spoke highly of Chris Pratt, appreciating his talent and his devotion to his work. The head of the streamer further stated, “We could not imagine a better star and filmmaking team to execute on and deliver what is sure to be a gripping thrill ride and look forward to audiences being able to experience it in theaters.”
