Fans are almost 2 months away from the biggest MCU movie of the summer, ‘Deadpool And Wolverine’. The return of Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool and Hugh Jackman as Wolverine is not the only factor for its hype.
With Deadpool exploring the multiverse with Time Variance Authority, the rumors of numerous stars reprising their roles and fan-casting finally coming to life are storming social media. One such rumor is pop sensation, Taylor Swift playing the role of Marvel’s mutant pop star Dazzler. Finally, Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds has broken the silence about this rumor.
Ryan Reynolds Says “Anything Can Happen” When Asked About Taylor Swift In ‘Deadpool And Wolverine’
Fandango released an interview with Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman and director Shawn Levy after the tickets for the movie went live. During the interview, Reynolds’ wife and ‘Gossip Girl’ star Blake Lively being spotted with Taylor Swift at the Super Bowl was brought up.
So naturally, the question about Swifties’ “Mother” being in ‘Deadpool And Wolverine’ had to be addressed. Reynolds said, “You know, movies like this…there’s so much speculation about so many people that might end up in the film. I saw one that was convinced that Elvis is in the movie. Anything can happen and that’s sort of what I love about this universe. Surprises are the essence of Deadpool.“
Dazzler is a quite popular mutant who can turn sound vibrations into light and energy beams. Halston Sage played the role of Dazzler in ‘X-Men: Dark Phoenix’. Taylor Swift can be a big money draw and can pull Swifties to the theatres.

Ryan Reynolds Praises Disney Over Accepting New ‘Deadpool’ Instalment To Be R-Rated
Later during the interview, Reynolds discussed how Disney gave him and Shawn Levy the freedom to have this movie a “hard-R”. He said, “I’m really proud of them for doing this. I think it’s a huge step for them. It adds a whole other color to this kaleidoscopic wheel that is that company and the different people that they have been entertaining for forever.“
Reynolds continued, “I was surprised though that they let us go as Hard R… but very grateful. I mean there’s no other way to do it. For this character and this world and particularly Logan being an R-rated film as well, I felt like that was the most full-throated version of Wolverine or Logan that we’ve ever seen as well, so it really allowed us a lot of freedom, not exploiting the R rating just to do R-rated stuff, but really allowing us to do anything and everything in a world where anything and everything is possible.”
Disney has a reputation of making more family-friendly movies and fans have criticized them for it too. Oftentimes, they make a movie so soft that it just ruins the character and the movie as a whole. However, Disney has broken its status quo for ‘Deadpool And Wolverine’. They just gave creators everything as a lot is at stake with the first MCU mutant-centric movie.
