The rumor about Taylor Swift‘s debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) has been buzzing for over a year now. Though the speculation was earlier limited to Swift’s cameo as the singer Dazzler in the upcoming ‘Deadpool and Wolverine‘ movie, the expectations have sort of gone wild over time.
More recent reports suggested that Kevin Feige, the chief of Marvel Studios, has discussed a more substantial role for Swift within the MCU. Both Marvel and Taylor Swift fans are losing it over the possibility of her first-ever on-screen presence under the banner of Marvel. Adding to it, reports have now unveiled the Marvel character that she is likely to play.

Taylor Swift Is Likely To Take On The Lesser Known Character Of Blonde Phantom In Her Marvel Debut
Marvel insider Daniel Richtman has revealed that Kevin Feige and Taylor Swift have explored the possibility of her playing the Blonde Phantom in a Marvel film, according to a report by Bam! Smack! Pow!. Blonde Phantom is a lesser-known character from Marvel’s predecessor, Timely Comics.
Named Louise Grant Mason, the character is a secretary by day who transforms into a superspy by night. Because it is not a popular character with modern audiences, having Taylor Swift play Blonde Phantom would work as an excellent strategy to bring forth a forgotten hero of the MCU.
The character has, however, already gained some attention recently as rumors suggested a Disney Plus series in development. Rumored to be produced by Scarlett Johansson, the show is speculated to be a 1950s spy thriller set in Las Vegas. Though it could potentially be a standalone adventure, it can possibly expand into multiple seasons.

Taylor Swift’s Cameo In ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’ Movie Is Also A Fair Possibility
Meanwhile, the rumors about Taylor Swift taking on the role of Dazzler in ‘Deadpool and Wolverine‘ also have not been entirely terminated. If the pop sensation takes on this role, the MCU’s Multiverse factor could easily explain her playing a different character in another project, as it allows for different versions of characters across various universes. If we believe our wishful thinking, Taylor could play both Dazzler and the Blonde Phantom.
As the rumors run wild, none of the officials or actors have confirmed anything about Taylor’s association with the MCU. Stars Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman, and director Shawn Levy have neither confirmed nor denied her involvement. Their coy responses have given fans some hope about seeing Taylor on-screen.
Casting Taylor Swift as the Blonde Phantom also seems like a fair possibility as Marvel Studios has been using a new Marvel Spotlight banner to highlight Disney Plus shows featuring lesser-known characters, such as ‘Echo‘ and the upcoming ‘Wonder Man‘. If the Blonde Phantom series materializes, it is likely to fall under this banner.
The prospects of Taylor Swift being a Marvel superhero hang in the air, while fans eagerly await an official confirmation.
