    Who Are The Eternals?

The Eternals are a strong celestial species that has lived for millennia. They appear to be humans, yet they have superhuman talents gifted by the Celestials. The Celestials are the MCU’s ‘Space Gods,’ who visited Earth five million years ago and experimented on humanity’s first descendants, known as proto-humans. As a result, they produced two races: the Eternals and the Deviants. Eternals are invincible, resistant to extremes of temperature, sickness, and poison, and difficult to kill.

Due to the cosmic energy embedded in them, each Eternal possesses a variety of superpowers. All Eternals have superhuman strength, durability, flying, teleportation, quick healing, and the ability to fire cosmic rays from their eyes or hands, although their skills differ.

Who Are The Main Characters In ‘Eternals’? What Are Their Powers?

Eternals’ main characters are ten superheroes. They are Kingo, Thena, Makkari, Gilgamesh, Sprite, Ikaris, Sersi, Druig, Ajak, and Phastos. Kingo (Kumail Nanjiani) has the ability to unleash energy from his fingertips. Thena (Angelina Jolie), can summon any type of weapon at command, from shields to spears and swords. She’s a brilliant warrior. Gilgamesh (Don Lee) can channel energy to his limbs and hurl catastrophic blows upon his adversaries. He can also take any hit and even defend himself from Thena’s attacks.

Makkari (Lauren Ridloff) is a powerful speedster with Eternal resistance and power. She can detect enemy movements with greater accuracy. Sprite (Lia McHugh) can create illusions that misdirect and confound her enemies. Phastos (Brian Tyree Henry) can materialize his creations using the Celestial’s energy within him, making it simple to conjure weapons, traps, and protective devices out of thin air. Ajak (Salma Hayek)’s powers are limited to her expertise in close combat. She can, however, heal any wound with the touch of her fingers. Ajak can swiftly dismiss even fatal injuries, making her the ultimate backup superhero for the Eternals.

Ikaris (Richard Madden) is stronger than other Eternals, losing only to Gilgamesh in physical might. He also has super speed, which isn’t as fast as Makkari’s but helps him to avoid some of the speedster’s punches. Ikaris can also fly and fire strong lasers from his eyes. Sersi (Gemma Chan) has the ability to change matter with the touch of her palms. She has the ability to change reality by manipulating the inherent rules of the universe. Druig (Barry Keoghan) has the ability to mind-control hundreds of individuals at the same time, manipulating their emotions and commanding them to commit any action.

And as a surprise? We also have Harry Styles’s Eros as an Eternal introduced after the credits. He is Thanos’ brother in the MCU. And we hope to see more of him in the next movie.

    Who Is The Eternals’ Nemesis?

The Deviants appear to be the major antagonists of Eternals, but they may just be a foreshadowing of a larger cosmic menace – the return of the Celestials, creatures from the origin of time who judged whole planets and civilizations. No two Deviants are similar, each having their own mutation and powers that no other of their kind possesses.

The warlord Kro is the most peculiar of them all because his abilities have granted him immortality, implying that he is more like the Eternals than his own race. Kro has utilized his shapeshifting abilities to establish new identities, knowing that his fellow Deviants would subject him to cruel tests in an attempt to find the secret of his immortality.

What Is Next For The Eternals?

So far, we’ve heard that an ‘Eternals 2‘ will be released. According to Patton Oswalt, who played Pip the Troll in the original film.

During an appearance on the Today Show on August 3, Oswalt stated that Zhao will return for an Eternals sequel and that his character may also appear. MCU fans have plenty of reasons to anticipate the Eternals will return for a sequel. From Harry Styles’ post-credits section to the film’s concluding statement, “the Eternals will return,” there was little question that these mythologically inspired superheroes were here to stay. If circumstantial evidence wasn’t enough, Sersi’s Gemma Chan fully confirmed that she will continue to play her character in the MCU.

We can anticipate a sequel somewhere around 2025, maybe. Let’s hope we see more of Harry Styles’ Eros this time.
