If the most recent ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ leak is true, Doctor Doom could be not only creating a roster of strong heroes and villains, but an entire army. Doom is reportedly recruiting Ultron at the end of ‘VisionQuest’, and the AI could be the answer to the Doombots in the upcoming Avengers event movie.
That would give Doom what he is lacking: numbers.
Ultron Could Give Doom The Army He Needs

Even the most powerful version of Victor von Doom cannot personally fight every hero standing against him. An army of technologically advanced Doombots could allow him to wage war across multiple battlefronts while keeping his most dangerous recruits focused on the larger plan.

The concept of Ultron helping Doom create an army seems like a good fit. As it is, Ultron is one of the most dangerous forms of artificial intelligence that the MCU has seen go rogue. His initial vision was to develop a host of synthetic bodies and to mold the world to his will through technology.
If it is revealed that Doom used that knowledge, it would be interesting to see how ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ and ‘Doomsday’ would be connected. Rather than just resurrecting Ultron as a new antagonist, Marvel could have Ultron as the basis for Doom’s army.
The reported Doombots would also make Doom’s forces much more intimidating. They could potentially serve as disposable soldiers while making it much harder for the Avengers to determine when they are actually fighting Doom himself.
Doom’s Squad Is Becoming Seriously Dangerous

The reported lineup is already stacked. Scarlet Witch, Doctor Strange, Clea, Savage Hulk, and Hela would provide Doom with an unparalleled set of powers, magic, strength, and cosmic ability. With Ultron, the Sentinels and an army of Doombots, the threat is elevated to another level.

There is also a rumour that Sentry’s Void might eventually be a part of the mix, but that’s not as likely. What’s cool about this is that Doom doesn’t necessarily have to have all of the recruits remain loyal. He may just be gathering up weapons for the next battle.
But if ‘Doomsday’ truly brings these characters together under Victor’s control, the Avengers might just have another superhero battle. They might be heading to war.
