The American Crime Lord, Wilson Fisk AKA Kingpin is coming back! Marvel fans have been thrilled about the return of the supervillain. There had been a lot of criticism about Marvel having villains who just appeared in a single series or movie. But with the new set of Marvel series, the audience can see the return of the big names. The superhero villains like Abomination and now Wilson Fisk are making their way back to the screen.
Vincent D’Onofrio would be portraying the role of the super-intelligent villain who played antagonists against Daredevil and Hawkeye in the television adaptation and against Spiderman in the original comics. Fans hope this is only the beginning for the mafia lord as there would be more to come in the future as he could be part of the upcoming Marvel endeavors. Who Is Kingpin?
Kingpin, the supervillain was created by Stan Lee and John Romita Sr., and first appeared in ‘The Amazing Spider-Man‘ in 1967. Wilson Fisk is one of the most feared and dangerous crime lords in the Marvel Universe. Kingpin went on to appear in many of the Spiderman comic series throughout the 1980s. The character’s screen debut came up in 2003 as the main antagonist in the superhero movie, ‘Daredevil‘. The multimillionaire villain was portrayed by the late actor, Michael Clarke Duncan back then. Immense physical strength, wealth, high intelligence, and control over the criminal world came to be Kingpin’s greatest assets.
Vicent D’Onofrio made his debut as the mafia lord in the original 2015 Netflix television series adaptation of ‘Daredevil‘, opposite Charlie Cox who played the titular role. With the discontinuation of the ‘Daredevil‘ series in 2018, the villain also disappeared. But he made his return, last year through the MCU series of ‘Hawkeye‘. And now the fans are looking forward to the next return of the villain, which would happen soon.

Will D’Onofrio Return As Kingpin?
The ‘Daredevil‘ actor, Vincent D’Onofrio’s tweet has made the fans go wild. The post showed a metal flask with the writing Fisk on its sides. D’Onofrio was praised for his grounded and terrifying performance of the crime lord, he was also nominated for a Saturn Award for Best Supporting TV Actor.
With D’Onofrio returning last year through the ‘Hawkeye‘ series, and Cox’s cameo as Matt Murdock in ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home‘, the superhero and villain are going to clash again. They would have their comeback through the Disney+ ‘Echo’ series, before uniting in the 18-episode ‘Daredevil’ series, called ‘Daredevil: Born Again‘. With a prominent role in the original ‘Spider-Man’ comic series, it can be assumed that we will see more of Kingpin in the future.
