Cruise and Pegg have shared a close friendship over the years, and now Pegg has addressed the bike stunt performed by Cruise in the upcoming seventh film.
Simon Pegg Describes Tom Cruise’s Bike Stunt As A Nail-Biting Experience
Tom Cruise will be breaking boundaries in terms of the stunts that will be featured in ‘Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One.’ However, the bike stunt has been getting the attention of the internet and Simon Pegg has spoken about the entire experience while the scene was being filmed.
Simon Pegg was present on the set when the sequence was being shot and he saw everything that happened. He witnessed Cruise riding the bike and going down to the wild.
Pegg revealed that the sequence was filmed in Norway and he called it a nail-biting experience in an interview with Entertainment Weekly. Pegg continued and said that he realized the intensity of the stunt when the crew went to the top of the mountain and after Cruise went down the cliff, Pegg was waiting for someone to confirm on radio that Cruise was fine.

Simon Pegg Recalls His Experience Portraying Benji Dunn
Simon Pegg first appeared as Benji Dunn in ‘Mission: Impossible III.’ He has continued to reprise his role in the next installments of the franchise. Speaking about the entire experience, Pegg said that he was a lab technician when he first started playing the role.
Pegg further stated that he was called by J.J. Abrams who told him that the character can be improved if he appears as a field agent. He added: “He’s a more capable, more mature member of the team, but no less human in his responses to the crazy stuff that goes on. He’s maintained that position of being the heart of the group.”
Pegg is returning this time in the seventh film and the screen time of the character is yet to be revealed.
