Greta Gerwig’s film has even beat ‘The Super Mario Bros. Movie‘. ‘Barbie‘ has faced the burn from many critics as well but it seems it is the clear winner so far.

Although it has been some weeks since ‘Barbie‘ came out, it is still ruling over the box office. The movie has been criticized by many for being man-hating and talking about feminist ideas. Still, America has chosen the all-pink toy doll as their number one movie.
‘The Super Mario Bros. Movie’ is a tough one to beat since America loves Super Mario. And it did make quite a big box office collection of $574,329,790. But ‘Barbie‘ managed to surpass that as well. Box Office Mojo reported that the Margot Robbie-starrer made $581,701,242.

All About ‘The Super Mario Bros. Movie’
The story of the Italian brothers, Mario and Luigi is known to everybody. We all grew up playing the game and saving Princess Peach. This time directors Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic have gone big. The movie boasts of an ensemble voice cast that includes Chris Pratt, Anya Taylor-Joy, Charlie Day, Jack Black, Keegan-Michael Key, Seth Rogen, and Fred Armisen.
The movie opened big at the box office and gave tough competition to ‘Barbie’ and ‘Oppenheimer’. The Italian Bros went on to become the highest-grossing film of 2023. However, ‘Barbie‘ has taken over the title now as reported from box-office collections.
