The upcoming Friday will witness the biggest clash between two movies – ‘Barbie’ and ‘Oppenheimer’. Expectations are sky-high from both projects as both of them are inspired by real-life characters and events.
As two big movies are coming together on one day, there have been speculations on which one might emerge as a winner at the box office. It must be noted that early reactions to both films have been positive and so it is impossible to predict anything.

‘Barbie’ Or ‘Oppenheimer’: Which One Will Be The Winner?
Based on reports, there is a possibility that ‘Barbie’ might emerge as the winner. The reason is the film’s marketing strategy and merchandising. Trade analysts have expected that the film might get an opening of $80 million but Warner Bros. is being more careful as they have predicted a $60 million opening.
‘Oppenheimer’ is expected to gross $40 million on its first day. This will be the lowest opening for a Christopher Nolan film after ‘The Prestige’ in 2006. One thing that might affect the opening day collections is the R-rating which will restrict family audiences from entering the theatres.
Talking about ‘Barbie’, it has received a PG-13 rating which will pull more audience. But ‘Oppenheimer’ is still expected to grab the upper hand which is necessary compared to what happens on the opening day.

Will ‘Mission: Impossible 7’ Affect The Collections?
‘Mission: Impossible 7’ was released on July 13, 2023, and has opened to a decent response from critics and audiences. It has already grossed $235 million but the opening has been low compared to the previous installments.
The new ‘Mission: Impossible’ film won’t affect the collections of ‘Barbie’ or ‘Oppenheimer.’ The reason is that ‘Mission: Impossible 7’ is already engaged in a battle with ‘Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny’ as the opening day collections for the latter are less than the former.
Four films will indeed get involved in the clash but the collections will be affected on one side or the other. However, it remains to be seen which one turns out to be a box office bomb.
