Channing Tatum is returning with ‘Magic Mike 3‘! The lead star and producer confirmed and shared a lot about the upcoming movie. “You’ve seen me dance onstage, but you’ve never seen me give an intimate, straight-up one-on-one lap dance,” Tatum teased the fans, and added, “That’s definitely going to be in the third one.”
Steven Soderbergh is directing the final movie of the franchise. The first movie went on screen in 2012. Afterward, the star-studded sequel ‘Magic Mike XXL‘ came along, followed by a touring act, ‘Magic Mike Live.’ The fans loved Channing Tatum’s stripper, confident and sassy persona.

The Farewell To Magic Mike Franchise
Tatum first teased the threequel in November 2021 via Twitter. Like the first two movies, the final one has also been written by Reid Carolin. The 2017 touring act motivated Soderbergh to return with another movie.
As Tatum previously stated, ‘Magic Mike 3‘ will be “pretty bonkers, gender-swapped take on a ’90s classic rom-com.” Talking about a few scenes from the movie, Tatum explained, “I have a pretty crazy dance that opens the movie. We kick it off on a pretty strong level and then, at the end, I might do a version of the water dance in the show. There’s a splash zone in the movie, so it’s a for real thing.” The splash zone is a reference to the famous water dance that happened during ‘Magic Mike Live,’ which will be given a special ode in the upcoming movie.
When And Where Can We Expect To See The Film?
A release date hasn’t yet been announced yet. However, Warner Bros. cleared that the third installment of Magic Mike will be released on HBO Max for streaming. ‘Magic Mike 3‘ will not see a theatrical release.
It has been hinted that Mike may leave his stripper life behind once and for all in the third flick. Talking with the New York Times, Tatum said, “We’re kind of swinging for the fences — there never needs to be another stripper movie after this one. We’re trying to do a fish-out-of-water story where it’s a reverse-role ‘Pretty Woman’ story that ends up with a lot of dancing in it.”
