Charlize Theron had plenty of nice things to say about Matt Damon at the world premiere of The Odyssey. But one hilarious confession stole the spotlight.

While praising her co-star’s dramatic physical transformation, the actress admitted she kept getting distracted during filming and couldn’t stop looking at him.

Christopher Nolan’s epic fantasy film ‘The Odyssey‘ hit theaters on July 17 and has already earned huge praise from both critics and audiences. As excitement around the movie continues to grow, Charlize Theron has now shared what it was like working alongside Matt Damon, who underwent an intense transformation to play the legendary Greek hero Odysseus.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight on the red carpet at the film’s world premiere in London, Theron was asked what she thought about her onscreen partner’s new look. She did not hold back with her answer. “I’ve seen him without all of that suit on. He’s incredible. Incredible,” the actress gushed.

Theron admitted Damon’s transformation made it difficult not to notice him. “I’m like staring at him weirdly. I’m looking at his a– right now,” the 50-year-old actress quipped. She immediately laughed at herself and added, “I shouldn’t do that! That’s just wrong,” before finishing with, “He looked amazing, yes.”

Damon’s impressive physique did not happen by accident. According to the outlet, ‘The Odyssey‘ actor followed a demanding fitness plan and slimmed down to 167 pounds to prepare for the role of the Greek warrior.

Speaking to People about the dramatic makeover, Damon explained, “It was more about just getting really, really physically fit, which just really involves changing your diet, just a whole lifestyle change.” He added, “You have to just be very, very intentional about everything you’re putting in your body.”

The actor stressed that he achieved the transformation in a healthy way and has no interest in going to the opposite extreme for future projects. “I didn’t change it in an unhealthy way,” Damon told PEOPLE. “I think if I had done the opposite and put weight on. That would have been dangerous and it’s not something I’ll do anymore. I was happy to do it earlier in my life.”

Damon also followed a strict diet, cut out gluten and carefully monitored everything he ate while getting into peak condition. Speaking about the process, he said, “It was more about just getting really physically fit. It just really involves changing your diet, just a whole lifestyle change.” He added, “You have to just be very, very intentional about everything you’re putting in your body.
