‘Fast & Furious’ is one of those franchises that is always known for cars, glamour, and action. While all the characters have gained recognition over the years, Luke Hobbs, played by Dwayne Johnson, has become equally popular among the audience.
The character made its debut with ‘Fast Five’ in 2011 and continued to appear until ‘The Fate of the Furious’ in 2017. Although he did not appear in the last two entries of the franchise, he is now scheduled to return in a standalone project.
Dwayne Johnson Will Return As Luke Hobbs
‘Fast & Furious’ franchise brought a new lineup of spinoffs with ‘Hobbs & Shaw’ in 2019 but a sequel has not been made so far. But Luke Hobbs is now confirmed to return in a standalone film focusing only on his character.
Universal has not revealed much about the project until now but they have confirmed that Chris Morgan will be one of the screenwriters. Meanwhile, the film’s title and plot details have not been confirmed by the producers so far. But there are reports that it will be connected to everything that happened between ‘Fast Five’ and ‘Fast X.’
It will possibly emphasize what Luke Hobbs was doing all these years before he met Dominic Toretto and his team. It could also explore what Dante Reyes was doing before he showed up in ‘Fast X.’

Development On A Sequel To ‘Hobbs & Shaw’
‘Hobbs & Shaw’ received positive reviews from critics and earned millions at the box office. Although a sequel has been in talks for a long time, it has not happened until now.
However, the success of ‘Fast X’ and the brief appearances of Deckard Shaw and Luke Hobbs in the film has hinted at the possibility of a sequel. While it has been confirmed that Dante Reyes would target Hobbs but it remains to be seen if this storyline will be covered in the 11th installment or the sequel to ‘Hobbs & Shaw.’
