It is already a known fact that ‘Loki‘ series and Thor movies of Marvel are a part of the same universe. Since Loki is alive in the series currently airing on Disney+, fans have been expecting a cameo appearance of the character in ‘Thor: Love and Thunder’.
The star and director of the movie, Chris Hemsworth and Taika Waititi, made a comment on the rumors of the character’s return in an interview. Even Tom Hiddleston spoke about his views on such rumors. So, the question is whether Loki will return to the movie or not?
What Did Chris Hemsworth And Taika Waititi Say About Loki’s Return?
During an interview with CinemaBlend, ‘Thor: Love and Thunder’ director and star of the movie shared some news for the fans. When they were asked whether Loki will return for the movie or not, Chris Hemsworth said “He didn’t want to be involved”. The star continued “He said, ‘I hate all of you, and in particular me,’ and I was like, that’s a shame. And that’s it. I mean, how many times can we kill him?”. Of course, he was saying all this in a joking manner but finally, the actor gave his sincere answer.
He added in a serious tone, “We love Tom. We love Tom. Yeah. But he’s dead. Not him, but the character of Loki.” But it looked like the jokes were not going to stop as Taika Waititi added “No, no he’s just dead to us.” To this, Hemsworth replied, “He’s obviously dead to us, as far as friendship goes.”
Tom Hiddleston Speaks About His Involvement In ‘Thor: Love and Thunder’
The ‘Loki‘ actor also said that he had no knowledge of his involvement in ‘Thor: Love And Thunder’. “I’m living in a question mark,” the actor told Total Film. “It’s all unknown. You know, I used to think that I could predict these things, but I literally have no idea. And I’m not even doing an Andrew Garfield! I just don’t know.” But still, it’s pretty much clear that we can’t really believe what anyone involved with Marvel says ever since Andrew Garfield’s return. So, whether the actor will actually come back for the movie or not is still unclear.
