The unique plot of the game has led to its worldwide success. Unexpectedly, popular actress Margot Robbie saw the potential in the game, and with her production company, she will be producing the movie for the game.

The Sims movie adaptation is in good hands with Kate Herron who is famous for ‘Loki’ and Margot Robbie. If Margot believes in it it wouldn’t fail. Additionally, the studio in charge is Robbie’s Luckychap alongside Josey McNamara, Tom Ackerley, and Vertigo Entertainment.

20th Century Studios before getting acquired by Disney had secured the rights for a ‘Sims’ movie adaptation in 2007. However, the movie’s development remained untouched for years before eventually getting scrapped. So, with Robbie and Kate behind the movie this time fans are more hopeful and excited. Additionally, No expected release date has been released as of yet.

The trend of adapting video games into movies has been growing in Hollywood. Previously, games like ‘Super Mario Bros’, ‘The Last Of Us’ and others were adapted into movies and were loved by the audience. ‘The Last Of Us’, besides being loved by fans, was critically acclaimed with an IMDB rating of 8.7/10 and 96% on Rotten Tomatoes.

The ‘Super Mario Bros’ grossed a huge 1.36 Billion throughout its run time making several records. So, it’s not surprising that ‘The Sims’ is being adapted into a movie as it is one of the most beloved computer games franchises.
